Porn Muncher and Picture Muncher can download extraordinary quantities of porn. As such, you may fall foul of the terms and conditions of your ISP (Internet Service Provider). At home I have a 2 gigabit cable connection but I’m limited to 1 megabyte of downloading per day. That’s a lot of porn, but it’s easily done on a fast connection - I’ve done about 800 meg of it (80% of my limit) just by doing ‘research’ (yeah, right, that’s the name!) for today’s blog articles.

While Porn Muncher and Picture Muncher do tell you how much you’ve munched, remember that you may have shut down and restarted the software, so the figure shown may not be the total for that day.

My ISP is upgrading its network to 10 gigabits soon (ie 5 times faster) which seems good, but they are keeping the transfer limits low. What?! If I leave Porn Muncher running at those kind of speeds I could use my monthly transfer up in a few days! I’m considering putting in some kind of daily limit warning, or at least some kind of proper monitoring of how much you’ve downloaded.

The porn may be free, but you’re still paying your ISP and they don’t give their network capacity away for nothing, so be careful!
